Are Thumbnails important? Let’s find out.
Which one of these 3 thumbnails do you think people would click on first?
All 3 had about the same number of impressions during the first 24 hours. The one in the middle had the highest CTR (click-through rate) at 54%. The one on the right had the lowest 24-hour CTR at 2.4%. The CTR for the left-hand thumbnail was 11%.
I think people are drawn to people and that thumbnails with people are more likely to be viewed.
Do you want to increase your CTR and number of viewers, which increases the opportunity for converting to subs? Use thumbnails with people as the subject. This is a lesson I have learned the hard way.
